Bjørnar Morønning (b. 1995)

Bjørnar Morønning comes from Drevsjø, Norway and started his photography career as a real estate photographer in Trysil and Engerdal in 2012, before graduating in 2019 from Bilder Nordic School of Photography l in Oslo. During his three-year stay in Oslo, he gained photojournalistic experience from VårtOslo and Josimar. He moved to Bergen in 2020 to work with live sports for NEP and Monday Productions.

 

In parallel with the freelance assignments, he began Bachelor in Journalism at the University of Bergen in 2021. Since then, Morønning has worked as a photojournalist for NTB and Khrono, and as a podcast manager and journalist for Åsane Tidende. At the end of 2022, he started as a photojournalist for TV2.

He has worked with photo documentaries at the photography school in Oslo. However, he was invited, along with 20 photographers worldwide, to attend VII Photo Agency's masterclass in France in 2022. In this masterclass, the American photo agency's photographers guide the photographers through a photo documentary, which will be Bjørnar Morønning's first long-term photo project.
